Miron Godlevsky
Miron Godlevsky was an agronomist with the Crimean Department of Agro-Joint. He was arrested in 1938 by the NKVD and charged with “membership in a Zionist organization.” In 1939, he was sentenced to five years in forced labor camps. Sometime after 1939, he died in a camp in Kazakhstan, Chakalov oblast (Soviet Union). He was “rehabilitated” (his name was officially cleared) in 1957. [See also: Lev Godlevsky (brother)]

Miron Moiseevich Godlevsky was born in 1874 in Rossieny, Kovno gubernia (today Lithuania). Godlevsky was an agronomist with the Crimean Department of Agro-Joint. He also headed the Apiary Department at the Crimean Agricultural Institute. Godlevsky was arrested on July 25, 1938, by the NKVD (People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs) and charged with “membership in a Zionist organization.” On October 23, 1939, he was sentenced to five years in forced labor camps. Sometime after 1939, he died in a camp in Kazakhstan, Chakalov oblast. Godlevsky was “rehabilitated” (his name was officially cleared) on February 14, 1957 by the Presidium of oblast Court in Crimea.
