Imre Junger assisted survivors in post-war Hungary. He and his co-worker Bela Wagner lost their lives in an automobile accident in 1947 while on official JDC business.

Imre Junger, born in 1894, assisted survivors in post-war Hungary. On May 16, 1947, while on official business for the JDC, he was killed in an automobile accident, together with his co-worker Bela Wagner. Junger was survived by his wife and his six-month-old daughter.
He is buried in the Kozma Cemetery, Budapest, plot 1B, Row 21, Grave 38.
