TIME Magazine features JDC Archives Warsaw Collection

70 years after the tragic Kielce pogrom, TIME features JDC’s postwar Poland archive, highlighting its efforts to aid survivors of the massacre and rebuild Jewish life directly after the Holocaust. Confiscated in 1949, the archival trove is now online and searchable.

Staff of the Joint attended the funeral after the 1946 pogrom; the Joint provided aid to the victims’ families and the arranged the evacuation of the remaining community.

Since the launch of our online database, the JDC Archives has been proud to offer the public free access to our digitized material. Our users can access records previously available only in person.
