
Book Talk: The Holocaust and Latin America: Migration, Resettlement and Memory
In this book talk, delivered on December 3, 2025, co-editors Daniela Gleizer, Emmanuel Kahan, and Yael Siman present The Holocaust and Latin America: Migration, Resettlement and Memory, a volume that highlights Latin America’s often overlooked role in Holocaust history. Approaching the subject through a global lens, the book examines national contexts, immigration policies, and survivor experiences, weaving together themes of migration, resettlement, and memory.

Daniela Gleizer is a professor and researcher at the Institute of Historical Research, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Emmanuel Nicolás Kahan is a researcher at Argentina’s National Council for Scientific and Technological Research and a professor in the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, also at the National University of La Plata.
Yael Siman is currently a Research Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Iberoamericana University in Mexico City.
