Rebecca Clifford Lectures on the Difficulties of Family Reunification after the Holocaust

Rebecca Clifford, Associate Professor of Modern History at Swansea University, lectured on the difficulties of family reunification after the Holocaust. Drawing on documents from the JDC Archives and oral histories from child survivors, Professor Clifford not only explored why family reunification proved so difficult in the immediate postwar period, but also how children subjectively experienced such events. Her book on this topic, Survivors: Children’s Lives after the Holocaust, was published in 2020.
