The General Administration and Finance subcollection documents the operational activity of the JDC Poland headquarters in Warsaw. Materials include activity reports, reports from JDC’s regional inspectors, budgets, lists of Jewish communities, and financial reports.
Correspondence files are grouped into various categories: correspondence with other local organizations, such as TOZ and CENTOS, which JDC supported; correspondence with foreign diplomatic missions and other JDC offices in Europe; correspondence regarding the receipt and distribution of material aid, including correspondence with businesses outside Poland from which JDCpurchased supplies; and a chronologically arranged set of outgoingcorrespondence from the Warsaw and Krakow offices.
The subcollection also includes lists of Polish Jews, with addresses, who sent letters to relatives abroad to send greetings, thank them for gifts, or request help to emigrate.
